Pusha T and Kanye West are working in the lab on Pusha T's upcoming solo project.

“When we attack a project, you know, there's just a general idea that happens, and everybody just gives their own perspective.”

As for his solo effort, the project has no title, or release date, but him and Ye have started working on the album.

“Me and Kanye have been in [the studio] and we've done a good five or six records, and we've left them alone.  Then we're gonna revisit it. We're about to go to Chile, actually this week sometime, and we'll probably do a show and just revisit some of the records.”

Jim Jones, Cam'ron and Vado are prepping to bring back Dipset with the release of their new albums in April.

Jone's Jones' highly-anticipated new album, CAPO, drops on 4/5 and Cam'ron & Vado's Gunz N' Butta drops on 4/19, timed with a current U.S. tour of the reunited Diplomats.

Jim Jones' 5^th studio album, CAPO, includes the hit “Perfect Day,” which is climbing up the urban and crossover charts.

The video for “Perfect Day” was MTV2's Jam of the Week last week with 108 spins.

Hip hop legend and Dipset leader Cam'ron and his protégé Vado will release theirlong-awaited duet album, Gunz N' Butta on April 19^th.

The album includes the hits “Speaking in Tungs,” and “Hey Muma” along with 16 tracks written and featuring both Cam'ron and Vado.

Vado recently inked a deal with Interscope Records and the Diplomats have reunited for a national tour.

"STREET DRUMMER" SUES MTV & VIACOM

An NYC street drummer has filed a lawsuit against MTV and its parent company Viacom for using his image in their “My Time Now: Nicki Minaj” documentary.

Michael Savely, who is known as "Mike Alaska," filed a suit in a New Jersey Federal Court Tuesday accusing the two companies of violating his privacy and tarnishing his image.

Savely appears for a brief second in the opening sequence of the film which shows him near a subway platform in a public area.

He says he never gave producers permission to use his image and the documentary has negatively affected his lifestyle including t-shirt sales and teaching jobs he uses as income.

In the lawsuit Savely describes his image as “modern” and “conservative” and slams Minaj for her “provocative style of dress, use of profanity and glorification of a "specific lifestyle."

Minaj has yet to comment.

West Coast rap veteran Snoop Dogg expressed his sorrow over hip-hop artist Nate Dogg's passing earlier this month by tattooing his late 213 rap group member onto his body.

Snoop's tattoo reveals Nate's face with an "All Doggs Go To Heaven" phrase below it.

Snoop Dogg has found an interesting way to remember his friend Nate Dogg, who died earlier this month. The "Gin and Juice" rapper got a tattoo sleeve of Nate on his arm, with the phrase "All Doggs go to Heaven" written underneath. "Tha tattoo u been waitin 2 c. My bro Nate Dogg by @Misterctoons," Snoop wrote on his Twitter page and posted a pic of the image on Saturday. (Us Magazine)

Yesterday, a funeral was held in the memory of Nate Dogg.

On a dark and damp Saturday morning (March 26), thousands of family, friends and fans turned out for one last show from their hero, rap legend Nate Dogg, who was laid to rest in his hometown of Long Beach. Inside the Long Beach Cruise Terminal, lights shined down on the wooden coffin adorned with red and white flowers. Two jumbo screens on opposite sides of his casket flashed six different photos of the singer from a childhood boy, when he was known to family as "Buddy," to the platinum singer known to the world as Nate Dogg. West Coast rap artists including Dr. Dre, Game, DJ Quik, Mack-10 and WC, DJ Pooh, Battlecat and others were on hand to pay their respects to the singer with platinum vocal chords. (MTV)

Although just barely over 20, West Coast rap newcomer YG recently told SOHH about his connection to Nate Dogg's son.

"I'm a big fan of Nate Dogg," YG told Us. "Nate Dogg's son is like my little brother's homeboy, we're cool. So I'm gonna do something for him and when he passed away, I tweeted, "Rest In Peace Nate Dogg" a couple times and everybody re-tweeted it. I grew up listening to Nate Dogg, Snoop Dogg, the whole 213. Nate Dogg is a f*cking legend. And that sh*t is f*cked up but it's life. I've known Nate's son for about two years or so. I used to stay in these apartments out in Long Beach and his son used to stay out over there. He was real cool with my little brother. So I've known him for about two years." 

While an official cause of death has not yet been revealed, Dogg's family believes it was in relation to medical complications.

Nate Dogg's family believes the singer's death was caused by complications stemming from the two strokes he suffered over the past couple of years ... this according to the singer's close friend and manager Rod McGrew. McGrew tells TMZ ... Nate's death was unexpected ... since he was making significant progress in his recovery from the most recent stroke he suffered in 2008. According to McGrew ... Nate was "95% recovered from the first stroke in 2007" ... when the second stroke occurred in 2008 ... leaving Nate partially paralyzed and causing partial memory loss. But McGrew says Nate had "cognitively fully recovered" -- meaning he got his memory back and was fully alert and aware all the way up to his final days. (TMZ)

According to a report, Ross was reportedly arrested and released on misdemeanor charges.

The report states that the Maybach Music "Bawse" was

"He was busted last night for possession of marijuana. Cops say they detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from his hotel room and when police investigated, they spotted approximately a gram of it in plain view."

According to reports, Ross was in town to perform at a nightclub as he and his Maybach music group continue to expand and tour.

Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne has sent out a warning to fellow hip-hop artists by revealing the title of an upcoming Tha Carter IV track guaranteed to make them quit their day jobs.

While brief with his words, Weezy spoke on the impact "Wayne's World" will have on the rap game.

Lil Wayne is so confident in his rapping abilities that he claims other rappers will want to hang up the mic after hearing one of his rhyme-heavy records on Tha Carter IV. The Young Money MC invited Rolling Stone to preview "Wayne's World," one of the songs expected to make his highly-anticipated album. "There's a lot of rapping on this," shared Weezy. "I want other rappers to hear it and say, 'I quit. I better start making club songs.'" The magazine goes on to describe the track as "three machine-gunning minutes of adenoidal wordplay topped with a triumphant hook." (Rolling Stone)

Last week, Wayne revealed a projected release date for his new album.

"Tha Carter IV is done," Wayne told MTV News. "All they need to do is tell Tez [manager Cortez Bryant] to stop sitting on it. Tez, stop sitting on Tha Carter IV and put the album out." Bryant, Weezy's longtime manager, was in attendance and provided the specific release date. "May 16, believe that," Wayne said. A popular New York DJ was pronounced dead this morning from a single gunshot wound to the stomach.

The New York Daily News confirms that DJ Megatron was shot and killed early Sunday in Staten Island, New York.

Keith Robinson who identified himself as Megatron's father-in-law, told the publication that his family was distraught.

"He was a good person," Robinson said, visibly upset, "Everyone's just shocked."

Witnesses report that they heard single gun shot around 2 .am. this morning in the Clifton section of the town.

Megatron was a regular on BET's ‘106 and Park' and New York radio station Hot 97.

Rapper Ja Rule admits tax evasion

(UKPA) – 10 hours ago

Ja Rule has admitted that he failed to pay taxes on more than three million dollars in income, and he faces up to three years in prison.

The platinum-selling rapper and actor, whose given name is Jeffrey Atkins, earned the money between 2004 and 2006 while he lived in Saddle River, an upscale community in northern New Jersey.

If the plea conditions are met, the government will dismiss two counts against him for unpaid taxes on about one million dollars he earned in 2007 and 2008.

Rule is scheduled to be sentenced on June 13 on the three tax evasion charges. He faces up to one year in prison and 100,000 dollars in fines on each count.

Five days before that, he is scheduled to report to prison in New York to serve a two-year sentence after pleading guilty in December to attempted criminal possession of a weapon.

Rule's attorney, Stacy Richman, is expected to file to have the tax evasion sentence served concurrently with the weapons sentence.

The rapper appeared in US District Court in Newark dressed in a brown leather jacket, pullover and blue jeans.

He answered a series of questions from US Magistrate Patty Shwartz and Assistant US Attorney Joseph Mack about his income from 2004 to 2008.

The weapons charge stems from a traffic stop after a July 2007 concert at New York's Beacon Theatre. Police allege they found a loaded gun in a rear door of his luxury sports car.

The rapper was nominated for a 2002 best rap album Grammy Award for Pain Is Love. His movie credits include 2001's The Fast And The Furious and 2003's Scary Movie 3.

Activist/rapper Wyclef Jean's weekend Haiti shooting incident has now taken an unexpected turn as new reports claim he did not sustain a bullet wound.

Haiti police claim Clef was only injured by a piece of glass, not a bullet.

Police in Haiti have dismissed singer and songwriter Wyclef Jean's claims that he was shot at citing doctors as confirming that the musician only sustained a minor cut from glass. "We met with the doctor who saw him and he confirmed Wyclef was cut by glass," Vanel Lacroix, police chief in Petionville, told theDaily Mail. Jean also said doesn't know who fired the 'shots', or whether they were directed at him. (International Business Times)

Jean also addressed what went down while lending support for the upcoming Haiti presidential election.

Over the weekend, Jean's camp confirmed reports of him being injured.

His rep told E! News on Sunday that the former Fugee suffered "a minor graze to his hand," was bandaged up at a local hospital and sent on his merry, if slightly more cautious, way. But then the questions began: Why was he shot--and in, of all places, his hand? Had the shooter been caught? And then came the oddest query of them all: was it possible that Wyclef was never even shot to begin with? (E! Online)
